It looks like the games been taken down now. I never received the promised notification from LJ saying the games were being removed, did you?

It was in their last news update - cleverly hidden in the middle, just one or two sentences :( - I guess lots of people didn't see it. The original announcement came from the Russian LJ newspage. I translated it.

Yeah, but weren't they gonna send PM's to all their players individually to let them know? So that the players who aren't following LJ/Sims Hospital announcements would know. I swear I read that they were going to do that before they shut the game down.

Well ... I don't want to be prejudiced .. still ... the entire LJ site is run by Russians these days. The games were run by Russians. Russian companies are notorious for having a crappy customer service - if they have one at all. As for PM's announcing the demise of the games, you are correct, that was announced, but I was not very surprised when there weren't any.

All of this (short or no notice) was intentional. If I had not had some Russian friends who warned me I would never have known that the games were history. I feel sorry for the people who spent cash on these games. I didn't. How about you?

Anyways, you're right about the crappy customer service of late, and also the general decline in LJ overall. This place seems to be going to the dogs, but I'm hopeful someone new'll come along and buy it before it's completely screwed up. *fingers crossed*
