He will discuss what crew positions are most important and how to stretch every dollar or even how to get it for free. From pre-production to the day of shooting to post-production, he will cover every aspect of the filmmaking process. Cultural trends are almost always reflected in popular media, comic books are no exception. Harvey Pekar, creator and writer of American Splendor comics, and through them, inspiration for a whole branch of memoir comics, who passed away in 2010, would have been 74 years old on October 8th. To celebrate his legacy, artist and photographer Danielle Batone, to whom Harvey and his wife Joyce Brabner were legal guardians, talks about growing up with Harvey and about Pekar’s legacy with comics historian Danny Fingeroth (The Rough Guide to Graphic Novels). 11:30AM – 12:15PM WILL EISNER’S “CONTRACT WITH GOD” AT 35
Will Eisner was one of the giants of the field of sequential art. Eisner expert Danny Fingeroth (Chair of the Will Eisner Week organizing committee) and Eisner colleague, and living legend Neal Adams present a visual tour through Eisner’s body of work and discuss his ongoing influence, 35 years after the publication of the groundbreaking, A Contract With God, a book that pretty much invented the entire graphic novel category. Eisner’s other landmark works—including The Spirit and P.S. Magazine--will be discussed as well. (ROOM 202)

11:30AM – 12:15PM ONE-ON-TWO WITH THE BOONDOCK SAINTS
The bad boys of the blockbuster picture The Boondock Saints, Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco, will be storming the stage in style at Wizard World Nashville Comic Con. Join one half of the MacManus brothers and Rocco as they rehash their experiences on set. The 1st 100 attendees will receive an issue of The Boondock Saints: The Lost Gig comic published by 12-Gauge Comics while supplies last. (ROOM 205)

Come to a casual session where former Disney supervising animator, Tom Bancroft, discusses designing the character MUSHU the dragon for the Disney film “Mulan” as well as drawing demos of other characters he animated like Young Simba, Roger Rabbit, Pocahontas and more! Calling all independent filmmakers and fans of independent film: Wizard World is proud to present the Wizard World Film Festival! Here, filmmakers from all around the world will compete for fame, glory and great prizes, such as priceless VIP Experiences, exclusive autographs and photo ops with celebrities. The latest and greatest in independent film will be screened both Saturday and Sunday, with a red carpet awards ceremony to be held at the conclusion of the festival. 1:30 – 2:15PM SUPERVILLAINS AND PSYCHOLOGY
Every great superhero faces a rogues gallery full of colorful supervillains. What makes a great supervillain? How evil do they have to be? Are they having fun? Do they resemble real criminals in any way? Dr. Travis Langley (Batman and Psychology: A Dark and Stormy Knight) assembles of super-team of experts to explore what it means to be a supervillain and what kind of person could become one. With Eric Bailey (Henderson State University), Jason Marsden (Batman: The Brave and the Bold), Danny Fingeroth (Superman on the Couch) and maybe a few villains as well. You’ve been warned! Join Wizard World as award-winning actor, producer, director, and author Henry Winkler takes the stage in Nashville. Best known for his role as the leather-clad greaser Fonzie, “The Fonz”, Henry Winkler will discuss how his minor role in Happy Days fashioned him to be an American comedic icon. 2:30 – 3:15PM RESEARCH FOR YOUR BOOK
What happens when writing what you already know isn’t an option? We’ll discuss the phases of research starting with deciding what your resources should be. We’ll move to finding those resources and when to stop researching. And how to incorporate what you learned into a seamless story that doesn’t read like a textbook. At the end, we’ll open the conversation for a Q&A session! (ROOM 208)
